Duchy Farm Kennels a great place for pets with a wide range of Catteries for all types of animals. All the Catteries are handmade so that your pet will have the most comfort the Cattery can give and with that it will only take a maximum of one week to arrive as well as free delivery of the cattery bought.

All Catteries from Duchy Farm will be erected by one of our team to your needs the way it should be so that you are free to get on and relax so that you don’t struggle building something you don’t have a clue how to build.
Each Cattery has a pet flap for the specific animal as well as a raised sleeping area to enable maximum comfort for your pet(s) when inside the Cattery.

Manufacturing Catteries

All of the timber that we use in the manufacturing of your cattery is sourced from sustainable managed forests. We make sure that the forest operates within the approved Forest Stewardship Scheme, the FSC.

About FSC

The FSC has nothing to do with the government and is an establishment committed to responsible management of the world’s forests. It was found in 1993 as the public was becoming more concerned about the high demand for timber and the large amount of deforestation.

The FSC UK is a charity supported by a few non government organisations, world wide fund for nature, Greenpeace and the woodland trust.

The Catteries that we produce are all Scandinavian redwood that is pressure treated and the process is called Tanalising.

Tanalising involves impregnating with Tanalith E a product used on trees worldwide as it stops fungal decay and insect attack as well as being environmentally friendly and helping the tree keep its colour and cannot be removed from the tree once it has been impregnated.

After the treatment the timber needs no further maintenance but will naturally weather over treating it will slow down the weathering from the sun, moisture and wind as well as any other weather conditions that the trees may undergo.
High quality dog kennels and Catteries are made by the professional family business and they build the catteries in a variety of sizes to a high specification with the wood of twenty year old Tanalised trees.

History of Duchy Farm

Duchy Farm Kennels was established in 1997 by Kevin Payne and his sons Phillip and Daniel when they wanted to start a family business they originally started making sheds and wooden fencing panels, but now specialise in the making of Catteries.

In 2004 Daniel suggested selling their Catteries on the internet and since then they never looked back. Originally they were a Lincolnshire based company but then they moved onto the rest of the country and now supply the whole of the UK mainland with Catteries.

The kennels and Cattery designs are uniquely designed by Kevin and his two sons in manufacturing but their customers add their own personal comments on requirements and give feedback from the 14 years of business. All the feedback has resulted in Duchy Farms being what it is today one of the best producers of Catteries and pet homes in the UK. They are hade from the finest quality timber that has been sourced from major UK suppliers in Northern Europe.

When you are looking for a simple cattery or a Chalet we have something to fit any pet in a whole host of sizes to suit all pets.

Duchy Farm has an increasing reputation for the manufacturing of catteries made of their finest quality timber. They are also made with due care, attention and detail with a similar design to our chicken coops/runs. This is a perfect addition if you want to include some fresh free range eggs and chickens to your household.
