As we are a family owned business we will always be passionate in what we create and will always make the best dog house that is possible. We will only use the best craftsmanship that is available. Our dog houses are manufactured, delivered and fitted within 7 working days.
We could send the Courier to deliver a pile of Kennel wood to you including a manual for you to sit down and read for hours before you can start the build of your kennel, but we will not do this to our customers we will send a specialist from our team to deliver your product and build it up for you. We want you to relax, with peace of mind knowing that your Cattery has been built and installed the way it should be.

Manufacturing Dog Houses
All of the timber that we use in the manufacturing of your dog house is sourced from sustainable managed forests. We make sure that the forest operates within the approved Forest Stewardship Scheme, the FSC. The dog houses that we manufacture are all pressure treated wood from the Scandinavian Redwood.
About FSC
FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation which is dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. It was founded in 1993 because the public were more and more concerned about deforestation and demanded for a trustworthy wood-labelling scheme.
FSC UK is a registered charity and it’s supported by Non Government Organizations including World Wide Fund for Nature, Greenpeace and the Woodland Trust.
The process that we use is often referred to as Tanalising.
Tanalising involves impregnating with Tanalith E wood preservation which is a new and environmentally friendly product. We do this under controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant. When this is impregnated the chemicals will become fixed into this and cannot be removed once in place.
This treatment gives the dog house wood the qualities of a long service life and is a long term protection from fungal and insect attack. The tantalised timber doesn’t need any further maintenance treatment but it will naturally weather over the years to come. This will be caused y the effect of the sun, moisture and wind and any other exterior conditions that are around. You can of course if you wish over treat the Tanalised timber to slow the weathering effect down on the timber.
Super quality catteries and also dog kennels are made by the small but professional family business. We specialize in high quality wooden cattery and dog houses in variety of sizes. We use Tanalised Timber 20 year wood treatment.
History of Duchy Farm Dog Houses
Duchy Farm Kennels was founded back in 1997. Kevin Payne and his two sons, Phillip and Daniel wanted a family business and they started out y selling garden sheds and wooden fencing panels, but now as a family business they specialise in the making of the dog houses.
In 2004 after 7 years of trading, Daniel suggested that they could try and sell their Catteries on the wide internet market. From then the business has never looked back. They were primarily a Lincolnshire based business covering towns and villages in and around Boston and the Fenlands. We now supply the whole of the UK mainland with all of our hand crafted dog houses.
These wooden dog kennels and cattery designs are uniquely designed by Kevin and his sons in development with their customers own personal comments including their requirements and feedback from the 14 years that they have been in business. All of the positive and negative feedback has resulted Duchy Farm being the ultimate produces of dog houses and pet homes. They are made from the best quality timber that has been sourced from Northern Europe from our major UK suppliers.
If you are looking for the simplest designs or even the state of the art Chalet styles , there are a multitude of sizes to suit all dogs from the tiniest Yorkshire Terrier to the largest Great Dane.
We do also have a growing reputation for manufacturing of the catteries. They are made in the same quality timber. They also are made with the same care and attention to detail and they are of similar designs to our chicken coops and run. This is a great addition if you wish to have your own fresh free range eggs!
