Tanalised Timber 20 Year wood treatment.

All our dog kennels and catteries are now build using Tanalised timber; this means that the wood has been treated under high pressure so as to ensure 20 years of protection. To tanalise wood it is placed in a high pressure vacuum with the preservative, in this instance the preservative is Tanalith E. This ensures the preservative sinks deep into the wood and is not just resting on the surface, protecting it for even longer from fungal and insect attack.

Due to our use of tanalised timber our products should not need any further maintenance treatment and will naturally weather over the months. Although it is also possible to over-treat the timber which will slow any weathering effects.
