All our dog kennels are built using sustainable sourced timber that is approved by the Forest Stewardship Scheme (created by the FSC). The wood we use to craft our small dog kennels is manufactured with pressure treated wood Scandinavian redwood.
FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. It was founded in 1993 in response to public concern about deforestation. FSC UK is a registered charity. It is supported by organisations such as WWF, Greenpeace and the Woodland Trust.
Duchy Farm Kennels was founded in 1997 by Kevin Payne and his two sons Philip and Daniel. The business originally started out selling garden sheds and wooden fencing panels before moving into craftsman built dog houses. In 2004 Daniel suggested selling dog houses on the internet and the family business went from selling in Lincolnshire to selling to whole UK mainland.
